Flame Scanner

Type 3

The type 3 Flame Scanner forms a complete flame monitoring system in combination with a 3000 series Flame Amplifier.

  • Fail-safe design
  • Suitable for continuous operation
  • Use at ambient temperatures from - 40 °C to +70 °C (optional fiber optic insert up to 300 °C)
  • Approved according to international standards
  • Protection class IP65 / IP66
  • IECEx-certified

The Type 3 Flame Scanner forms a complete flame monitoring system in combination with a Series 3000 Flame Amplifier. The 3000 flame monitoring and evaluation system has been specially developed for use on gas turbines with safety and optimum availability in mind.

Our goals are to monitor combustion processes safely and reliably, to provide criteria for optimizing the combustion process and to reduce pollutant emissions. The system is able to reliably monitor the flames in all load conditions and fuel compositions.

The 3003 has the task of processing and displaying the output signal (pulse telegram) generated by the flame sensor in parallel with the 3001.
For 1-6 slide-in units System 3000/4000 to DIN 41494.
The fiber optic cables are an extension of the application range of our flame monitoring devices.
The fiber optic lances are an extension of the application range of our flame monitoring devices.
For connecting flame scanner and flame detector (System 3000) with highly efficient protection
For connecting compact flame controller CFC and burner control unit with highly efficient protection.
For simulating a flame for flame sensors/compact flame monitors.
Setting the viewing axis of the flame scanner/compact flame scanner for standard, Ex enclosures and fiber optic technology.
The main effect is to reduce the internal temperature to prevent overheating.
Ball flange for aligning the flame sensor / compact flame monitor on the sight tube of the burner.
Temperature barrier and potential separation between sight tube and flame scanner/compact flame detector.
Connection element optionally with integrated pressure glass pane protects the flame monitor from pressurization from the combustion chamber.
Protects the Flame Scanner / Compact Flame Controller from pressurization from the combustion chamber. Optionally available with flushing media flange and for higher pressures.
The SKL sensor head is used to connect the BFI fiber optic cable to the sight tube of the respective application.
The SKL4DB sensor head is equipped with a metal-fused pressure glass pane, which protects the sensor optics from pressurization of the combustion chamber.
The quick-release fastener for BFI Ex enclosures enables quick and torsion-free installation of the sensors and compact flame detectors in the Ex enclosure as well as easy maintenance access without having to remove the connecting cable of the devices.
The flame signal converter 3007 resolves the flame signal of the associated flame scanner and provides a current signal (0/4...20 mA) linear to the measured flame intensity for further external processing.
